The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) is a requirement of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004. Community involvement and public consultation is an important part of the planning process. The SCI sets out what consultation will take place with the community and statutory consultees on planning policy documents and planning applications.

Following the publication of an updated National Planning Policy Framework and further legilsation changes in relation to local plans a refreshed SCI has been published.
