Save time, do it online
East End Library and Community Hub has access on the ground floor.
Limited free parking is available on local streets to the side and rear of the building, but not on Shields Road itself. Check signage for the length of time you can park. There are nearby bus stops on Shields Road for travelling in both directions. Byker Metro is just a 4 minute walk away. The nearest cycle racks are close by in Flora Street.
This library is autism-friendly (please see our user guide (pdf, 1.92mb) here) and and has a hearing loop to assist communication with hearing impaired people.
