Our regular groups run weekly, fortnightly and monthly and include reading groups, knit and crochet groups, chess and more. 

The groups listed on this document are run by library staff or library volunteers and are open to new members. Scroll down for a text-only, accessible version of the timetable.

We also host several independent reading groups across our library branches, reading a range of literature.  These groups include "Proud Pages" Queer reading group, Litpop group, Euro Crime and Deaf Readers. Visit our Books and Reading page to find out more and join one of these groups.  



City Crochet Club. Every Monday, 10.30am-12.30pm

City VIP Reading Group. 1st Monday, 1pm-2.30pm


High Heaton Canny Crafters. Every Tuesday, 11-12pm

Gosforth Tuesday Reading Group. 1st Tuesday, 4.45-5.45pm

City Warhammer Club. 1st Tuesday, 4-6.30pm

City Graphic Novels Reading Group. Fortnightly, 6-6.30pm

Gosforth English Learners Reading Group. 1st and 3rd Tuesdays, 10-11am

City "Chapters and Chatters" YA Reading Group. 3rd Tuesday, 5.30-6.30pm
