We require one experienced Vision Rehabilitation Specialist who is qualified to be able to work with complex conditions including deaf/blind.
The work is varied with involvement in everything from assessing for specialist equipment, to working on using long canes, mobility training, to preparing a meal. We are looking for a motivated person who is interested in working in adult social care to support visually impaired residents of Newcastle to live in the community in their safest, most independent way and needs to be someone who likes variety in their working day and strives to do their best for the people they are working with.
You should have a relevant degree in Rehabilitation for Visual Impairment and preferably be a member of the professional body Rehabilitation Workers Professional Network.
