St Cuthbert’s Catholic High School is seeking to appoint an inspirational and dynamic teacher of geography who has the ability to engage and enthuse pupils with a passion for the subject. This is an excellent opportunity to develop within a committed and supportive team led by the Head of Geography. We currently offer AQA courses at both GCSE and A Level.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about the geography curriculum and how this can be taught in an inspiring way to maximise outcomes, whilst both instilling and developing a passion for the subject. For this role you will need excellent subject knowledge and a strong track record of successfully delivering pupil outcomes. The ability to extend pupils’ engagement beyond the school day, through co-curricular activities would be an advantage. Above all, we are looking for someone who will help our boys become better men; raising their aspirations and achievement and showing them the importance of studying a geography related qualification in the modern world.
This is an opportunity to join a well-established and aspirational department in an all-boys Catholic School that has enjoyed a reputation as a centre of educational excellence for over one hundred years. We welcome applications from newly qualified teachers as well as experienced geography teachers looking for a new challenge.
