We are recruiting 2 enthusiastic staff to work on short-term placements in Parking Services during the busy peak period of parking permit applications.

These placements will be fixed term between 01 July 2024 and 13 September 2024 to provide seasonal support to the team processing high volumes of permit applications.

This short-term placement will work specifically on the team that issues permits to residents living within permit parking zones. This is a vital and busy area of work to support the neighbourhoods and give priority to residents where there is high demand for limited kerb space.

You will work in a fast-paced; high volume; team environment in an office-based role within the heart of the city centre, where team members get to demonstrate their excellent communication and organisational skills.

We will provide full training and support to you to deal with high numbers of applications and associated queries.

To succeed you will have good ICT skills using a variety of Microsoft packages including Excel and Word. You will have effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly with members of the public in spoken English. The ability to work using your own initiative or as part of a team delivering high quality customer services is essential. Processing high volumes of information with high levels of accuracy whilst maintaining confidentiality. You will also be able to prioritise your workload to meet strict deadlines.

We will then shortlist candidates and invite them to interview on week commencing Monday 13 May 2024 at the Civic Centre.
