£34,373 - £38,553 Per annum

The successful candidates will be responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating a programme of public health interventions across the range of public health priorities. Practitioners will be based within a portfolio team and will contribute to the overall aims of the department service plan and local authority priorities.

Practitioners will have experience of public health practice and should be seeking to develop their skills and knowledge across all public health domains. The role will involve coordinating and overseeing the delivery of programmes of work, providing evidence-based public health expertise, designing effective public health services and supporting key partners and stakeholders to embed a public health approach to design and delivery within their agenda.

We are looking for candidates who are dynamic and focussed on using their public health expertise and experience to make a meaningful improvement to the health and wellbeing of Newcastle residents. Practitioners will be expected to have a good understanding, knowledge and skills on the social determinants of health and be passionate about addressing health inequalities.
