About the Job
Do you have experience of working with children who have suffered trauma or have complex behavioural needs? Are you able to pass on your knowledge and experience of promoting positive behaviour through high quality training?
If so then this role is for you!
We are looking for someone who has experience of working with children in care in children’s homes who can help us develop our trauma informed approach. You will work alongside our exciting Future Focus team, and together you will support staff teams to better understand and meet the needs of children and young people in crisis, reducing the need for physical intervention.
You will also have experience of physical intervention and be able to provide training to groups of staff to ensure that young people and staff are safe and lead the de-brief process to ensure that no opportunity for learning is missed.
This job is about supporting staff to help children and young people overcome the traumas of their past and go on to live fulfilling and successful lives as adults.
You will have experience of delivering training, undertaking training needs analysis and adapting training to meet the needs of the service. You will also have experience of working with children and young people who display challenging behaviours with a proven track record of de-escalation.
You will join a dynamic and dedicated team and will be supported by a small team of positive behaviour leads in each of our homes. This is a busy but rewarding role, which will make a real difference to the experience of children and young people in our homes by providing essential support to the staff who care for them.
