Vocational ESOL tutor

Adult Learning and Skills tutor - Vocational ESOL

Newcastle City Learning is looking to recruit an ESOL tutor to deliver and design courses to enable ESOL learners to access our mainstream vocational programmes. In addition, you will support learners with second language needs who are on vocational courses and work closely with vocational tutors to ensure the curriculum is accessible. Experience of delivering ESOL qualifications to groups of adult learners is essential. To apply you will need to hold both teaching and subject specialism qualifications in addition to relevant professional experience.

This is a one-year contract initially.

We expect and support staff to set consistently high aspirations and expectations for themselves and learners.

It is expected all staff will embed wider skills including, maths, digital skills, British Values, safeguarding, PREVENT and equality and diversity to ensure that learners maximise their understanding and application within their working and personal lives.

Use of own vehicle, current valid driving license, or access to mobility transport and a willingness to travel are an advantage for this role.
