City Transport maintains and repairs and maintains a diverse range of vehicles, plant and horticultural equipment for Newcastle Council and other external partners.

We are committed to the delivery of a quality maintenance service and would like to further strengthen our team with a Heavy Goods Vehicle Technician to join our workshops based at Newington Road West.

Applicants should have served a recognised apprenticeship in motor vehicle engineering and be fully conversant with vehicle repair procedures.

Experience of municipal vehicles would be an advantage but not essential as would a valid HGV licence. Relevant diagnostic skills are required. Applicants must hold a current category B driving licence.

Teamwork and a customer focused approach are required to provide a flexible service delivery. You will be required to work 5 days per week and overtime when required.
