The Job

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Operational Estate Management Team as a Lead Technical Project Officer, who will be responsible for providing Mechanical, Electrical and Net Zero expertise to a range of projects, notably a large Electric Vehicle Charging installation program to public buildings, car parks and on the public highway; you will also provide M&E advice regarding a range of Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme installation projects, as well as having wider contract management responsibilities for other energy projects across our non-housing portfolio.

The role will provide an opportunity to enhance and support the existing M&E technical provision within our Estate management Team, with a particular focus on EV Charging and energy efficiency as we work towards our Net Zero target by 2030.

You will be required to visit a range of public buildings and , carrying out a review of existing Electrical Vehicle infrastructure and provision. You will need an understanding of M&E and energy systems and their utilisation across a range of sites. You will also assist the service to work with contractors, both internally and externally to enable projects to be seen through to completion. This role will be considered for a secondment opportunity.

The Candidate

The successful candidate should be qualified to degree level in a Mechanical or Electrical Services or equivalent and with experience of procuring contracts and services using established procurement principles, as well as an understanding of estimating, designing, installing, commissioning, and testing M&E installations.

The successful candidate will also be able to produce health and safety plans, collate tender documentation to support the delivery of Mechanical, electrical or energy projects as well as having a good knowledge of mechanical, electrical and energy requirements within Car Parks, Commercial Estates and Public Buildings. An EV qualification would also be advantageous.
