The Job

Intensive Family Support Keyworker

The Candidate

Are you interested in joining an established team in the Inner West area of Newcastle, providing intensive support to families with multiple and complex needs? The team is part of the Community Family Offer of Children and Families Newcastle and works closely with a number of partners in the area.

We are recruiting to a full-time post on a permanent basis and a full time post which is temporary for 15 months.

You will be skilled at maintaining a persistent, strengths based assertive approach with families, using practical and therapeutic interventions.

You will be comfortable undertaking individual case work and as a keyworker acting as the key point of contact for the families with whom you work. You will equally be confident in representing the best interests of families to a range of partners including external agencies.

You will have a commitment to working collaboratively with partners, including being a lead practitioner.

As this post involves working with children, vulnerable adults or dealing with sensitive information, written references will be taken up and made available to interviewers before the final selection stage; even if you indicate otherwise.
