An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HR Adviser to join our high performing HR Operations team based in the Civic Centre. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for operational managers providing HR advice on a wide range of issues covering; complex case work, absence management, service reorganisations, job design and evaluation, policy development, employee and trade union engagement and guidance on employment practice. You will help to ensure a fair and consistent approach to the Authority’s policies and procedures, promoting a positive employee relations culture whilst minimising risk.

The successful candidate will have an enthusiasm for providing great customer service and a track record of providing professional people management advice. You must have a collaborative approach to work, working proactively to resolve the challenges presented and seek to achieve measured and successful outcomes.

You must be confident and resilient, have a flexible approach to challenging service led deadlines and the ability to attend other locations within our city.

You must be CIPD qualified and have recent and relevant HR experience including employee relations and change management. Local government or public sector experience would be an advantage but not essential.
