About the Academy

North Gosforth Academy is a small secondary school from Year 7 through to Year 11 with a strong focus on providing high quality education in a safe, happy and caring environment. Community is at the heart of what we do. Each student is a valued member of the academy and we take pride in giving them opportunities which will allow them to thrive as an individual, both academically and holistically. Students receive a first-class education from our team of enthusiastic, dedicated teachers and our pastoral and support staff. We have high expectations of both ourselves and of our students, and we strive to develop their talents and help them succeed.

We offer our staff a positive and thriving working environment. As well as our own academy, we have the benefit of working alongside the other schools in the Gosforth Group Multi Academy Trust and pooling our experience and resources. As part of a large Trust, we can provide a wide array of personal and career development opportunities for our staff both in and out of the classroom. Whilst our staff work hard to deliver outstanding outcomes and are dedicated to go that extra mile we always seek to provide innovative and bespoke staff workload and wellbeing practices.
