The Governors of Ravenswood Primary School in Newcastle are looking for an outstanding primary teacher to join our excellent staff team and take on the role as Deputy Headteacher. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join our wonderful school and have a positive impact on its immediate and long term future. The school is looking for someone with experience of all phases of primary education and experience of leadership in a primary school. The post will be a permanent appointment. The successful candidate will need to be able to build strong and supportive working relationships with pupils, staff, governors and parents and nurture a love of learning in our pupils.

Ravenswood Primary School is a community whose purpose is learning. Outstanding relationships are built between all members of the School community and these promote excellent behaviour and educational success. We are a large primary school with a Nursery and three form entry throughout Reception and Key Stages 1 and 2. We have a wonderful diversity of pupils and incredibly supportive parents and carers. We have extensive grounds and a thriving extra-curricular provision.

The school is strongly committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful applicant will be required to obtain an enhanced Certificate of Disclosure from the DBS and a range of other recruitment checks.
