Are you driven by a passion for enhancing customer experiences? We're seeking a Customer Service Specialist - People, dedicated to developing our Contact Centre team and delivering top-notch services to customers of and Newcastle City Council (NCC).
What awaits you in this role?
You will take charge of recruiting and onboarding new team members for our bespoke Contact Centre, ensuring they're equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional service. From guiding them through the Contact Centre induction to instilling NCC values and behaviours, your role will involve comprehensive training on various services.
Our Grad Bay setting will help you to continue to coach new colleagues, in a safe and nurturing environment, with the support of a wider team.
Leading by example, you'll ensure new team members receive a warm welcome from NCC and join the Contact Centre team possessing the expertise to create outstanding customer experiences.
While prior familiarity with our services isn't mandatory, an enthusiastic dedication to people and customer service, coupled with robust leadership skills, is essential. Collaborating with stakeholders across NCC, you'll ensure frontline colleagues have the necessary tools and support to excel in customer service.

- Natural leadership qualities with a skill for setting clear expectations
