Newcastle City Council’s award-winning Communications and Engagement team is seeking two Communications Assistants.
The city is going through a period of significant change as the council, organisations and communities come together to find solutions to the major challenges we face and showcase our successes.
We want to ensure that our website and social media channels are engaging and allow our local residents to interact with us. We’re looking for people who can help us do that creatively.
You will be an enthusiastic communication professional able to demonstrate a broad range of communication skills and a qualification in a related discipline.
One role will have a key focus assisting on major projects regarding transport and air quality while the other will showcase our Children and Families Newcastle initiative, which is a new approach to ensure services and support are accessible for all children and families.
Both individuals will be asked to work flexibly across a busy team managing the council’s external profile and reputation.
Full details of the post are set out in the job description and person specification. For further information, contact James Moore, Head of Communications and Engagement, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
