It's never too early or too late to think about healthy lifestyles.

There's a range of activities and support available to help residents get fitter and healthier.

Food Nation - inspiring people about good food

Whether you're a resident, or a school or business in the area, you can get involved with the work of Food Nation. Food Nation is a social enterprise based in Newcastle and offers a range of services including cookery courses, teaching in schools and community food initiatives as well as sharing recipes and growing tips on their website http://www.foodnation.org/

Newcastle has also been chosen as one of just six cities in the UK that will receive funding for improving food culture to become a Sustainable Food City. This means that over the next three years the council will be working with Food Nation and schools, charities and restaurants to transform access to local, affordable and sustainable food for people across the city.
