Community Partnership Grants

Kenton Park Community Association have been successful in applying for Community Partnership funding

A £1.35 fund has been set to support community projects in the north and west of Newcastle including Kenton. The Local Community Partnership Grant scheme is funded by Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund with the North of Tyne Combined Authority. Newcastle Council is administering the programme.

The programme aims to support projects that bring communities together to build relationships, create more vibrant neighbourhoods, provide opportunities for residents and tackle local issues. 

Kenton Park Community Association has been successful in its grant application - £59k capital funding and £73K in revenue funding. The money will pay for resurfacing of the Kenton Park Sports Centre hall floor, refurbishment of the soft play area, new heating, hot water and new air conditioning and sensory play equipment.

The rest of the money is be used to fund community development work across Kenton for one year.
