The Job

With a professional and customer focused approach, you will carry out Liability investigations including potential travel to and from site meetings and case management of personal injury claims in accordance with the Ministry of Justice Civil Procedures Rules to deliver effective and efficient financial outcomes. This includes determination of legal liability, assessment of damages and communication/ negotiation with direct claimants and or third-party legal representatives utilising the MOJ claims portal.

The role is full of variety, and you will have the opportunity to work on a mixed portfolio of claims.

You will manage and supervise other types of insurance claims as required such as Property, Motor and other specialist covers. This may include site visits to fire damaged locations and liaison with external loss adjusters.

The Candidate

Do you have:

<ul>

<li>Experience in handling liability &amp; property insurance claims.</li>

<li>Working knowledge of the Civil Procedure rules and pre-action protocols, including familiarity with the Jackson reforms and their impact.</li>

<li>Understanding of the Judicial Study Board (JSB) guidelines for the assessment of general damages in personal injury.</li>

<li>Excellent communication (verbal and written, numeracy and IT skills).</li>

<li>Ability to accurately follow internal guidelines.</li>

<li>Good negotiation and investigation skills.</li>

<li>Ability to work accurately and quickly under pressure.</li>

<li>Ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines.</li>

<li>Personal experience of utilising the Claims Portal Company&rsquo;s portal to process personal injury claims is desirable but not essential.</li>
