You will be joining a small team of Service Improvement Assistants that work across the SEND service. We have two roles available, and both will support the Head of SEND and SEND Managers with a variety of tasks including, involvement in multi-agency task and finish groups to improve SEND business processes, support in arranging large SEND events, producing information for families in a range of formats and providing support to multi-agency meetings. The Service Improvement Assistants will also be responsible for developing our SEND Local Offer website. This will involve working with parent/carers and children and young people to improve the content of the website and promote it to families in Newcastle.

Head of SEND

“Service Improvement Assistants started in early 2022 and they have quickly established themselves as invaluable members of the service. They have been very successful in supporting and improving our systems and processes, which in turn has had a positive impact on our collaborative working with partners, families and children and young people. Therefore, I want to embrace this and further expand on the good work that has been done. As part of the SEND service, you will join a positive, supportive and dedicated team where all staff are valued and ideas and suggestions to continuously improve in what we do and how we do it are welcomed.

I am really looking forward to welcoming another two members to our service”.
