Facility Supervisor (Caretaker) based at Hadrian School in Fenham.

37 hours per week. Split shifts. 6:30am-9:00am and 1-30pm-6-30pm.

Hadrian School opened in September 1999 following an extensive re-organisation of Special Educational Needs provision within the City of Newcastle upon Tyne.

Hadrian has established itself as ‘an outstanding school’ winning many accolades from OfSTED, Charter Mark, Science Mark, Parent Partnership Award, Governor Mark, Arts Mark Gold and Investors in Children and attaining Financial Management Standard In Schools and the Eco Schools Green Flag Award.

Hadrian School is situated in the west end of the city on an extensive, fully accessible site with superb facilities.

Hadrian School caters for the needs of pupils aged between two and eleven years with a range of additional needs including complex, severe learning difficulties and profound and multiple learning difficulties.

Facility Services and Civic Management work across the city and Gateshead providing building cleaning, caretaking, school meals and welfare catering services.

We have a large team of cleaners, cleaner supervisors, facility supervisors (caretakers), catering assistants, assistant chef’s and chef’s working various hours and shifts in schools and public buildings.

What we are looking for:

We are currently looking for reliable and friendly people with a positive attitude to join our team as a Facility Supervisor (Caretaker).

We are looking for someone who:

<ul>

<li>Has good customer service skills</li>

<li>Good interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with problems on site</li>

<li>Knowledge of cleaning standards with the ability to undertake cleaning tasks</li>

<li>Capable of regular stooping, bending, lifting and carrying of equipment, materials, furniture and climb ladders.</li>

<li>Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work with limited supervision</li>

<li>Good spoken English with the ability to communicate effectively with the public</li>

<li>Experience of management/supervision of staff</li>

<li>Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures and how to apply them in the workplace</li>

<li>Is self-motivated and able to work to fixed deadlines.</li>

</ul>
