The postholder will manage a caseload of schools and work effectively with headteachers and board members to support the board to meet its core functions, to secure the continuity of board business and to observe confidential requirements. The role will involve providing advice on constitutional matters and regulations, preparing agendas, distributing meeting papers, taking minutes of meetings, maintaining accurate records and providing reports. The postholder will have excellent organisational and people skills, the ability to communicate effectively, a high standard of written English and an eye for detail.

The successful candidate will be part of a strong and successful team but will also need to be able to work independently.

The job will involve evening working and travel to schools mainly across the City.
