Byelaws - Bath Lane - Prohibition of Skateboarding etc

Byelaws made under section 235 of the Local Government Act 1972 by the Council of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne for the good rule and government of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne and for the prevention and suppression of nuisances.

Interpretation

1. In these byelaws:

"the Council" means the Council of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne.

Extent

2. This byelaw applies to the specified parts of Bath Lane, Newcastle upon Tyne designated in the Schedule to the byelaw and hereinafter referred to as the "designated area."

Skateboarding

3. No person shall skate, slide or ride on rollers, skateboards, wheels, mechanical contrivances or other equipment in a designated area.

Schedule

4. The "designated area" referred to in byelaw 3 and delineated by black hatching on the plan attached to this byelaw is as follows:


Part of the land comprising the area immediately to the south east of Bath Lane, Newcastle upon Tyne and to the north west of Westgate Road, Newcastle upon Tyne.

 

The Common Seal of the Council of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne was hereunto affixed this 20th day of November 2003 in the presence of  :

The foregoing byelaws are hereby confirmed by the Secretary of State and shall come into operation on the 8th day of March 2004
