Bin collections

There will be a change to some residents' blue bin collections over the Christmas period.

Households who were expecting a collection on Tuesday 27 December 2016 will receive a letter through the door informing them of the revised date.

The letter will tell people if their new date is Wednesday (28 December), Thursday (29 December) or Friday (30 December).

The areas (wards) in question will be Castle; East Gosforth; Fawdon; Parklands; West Gosforth; and Woolsington.

All other blue and green bin collections will proceed as normal. To see the full update, please click here.

For all information and updates about bin collections, visit the rubbish, waste and recycling page.

Customers using our online copy certificate ordering service will be affected by Christmas hours. For example, if you request the priority service, the certificate will be provided on the next working day - we will not be able to provide a 24 hour service due to the bank holiday closures.
