How do I apply?

You can apply for most of the courses in the directory using the standard booking form (Word, 374kb) and sending it to wfdadmin@newcastle.gov.uk or by fax to 0191 277 2099 (however, some courses have different booking procedures - see details in the directory for how to book).

Costs

Most of the courses are offered free to those working in Newcastle. If you work outside Newcastle, you can still attend most of the courses, but there will be a charge of £100 per day's training, so two-day courses will be charged at £200 and half day courses at £50.

What will I learn?

This training programme will develop your knowledge and skills and support you to explore your own attitudes and values, giving a strong foundation to the sexual health work that you do.  The courses use participative approaches encouraging reflection, sharing of experiences and providing you with a range of activities which you can use in your work with young people and adults.
