Active Health

The Active Health programme is available to adults (over 17) who live within Newcastle upon Tyne or are registered with a Newcastle GP. The programme is for people who have a health condition including weight management for which exercise is recognised as being beneficial. GPs, Practice Nurses and other health professionals can refer patients into the programme.

The programme comprises of a pre-consultation with a specialist prior to attending.  The programme allows participants flexibility to attend a range of activities, including nutritional advice,  exercise circuits, water based sessions, supervised gym sessions, walking groups, mindfulness and wellbeing sessions  at various venues throughout the City.
