Heritage Open Days 2020
Heritage Open Days are free of charge, a unique opportunity to step into the past and find out more about the 2,000 years of history that has made the North East the vibrant place that it is today. This year, along with many organisations across the UK, our Heritage Open Days events are moving online. We’re excited to share with you a programme of talks and an online exhibition. Although most events are online so we can’t see you in person this year, we hope you can enjoy the events we have available digitally this year.
Working in partnership with the St James' Heritage and Environment Group we've produced The Big Local History Alternative Event. The programme includes five talks on the West End's Local Heritage, going live online from Friday 11 September. Or you can book onto a self-guided tour of St James' Graveyard and surrounding area on Wednesday 16 September, with half hourly starting time slots between from 10am to 2pm, by emailing: firstname.lastname@example.org - booking is essential.
All our events are listed on the national Heritage Open Days website. The events have been produced by St James Heritage and Environment Group.
