May Half Term

Butterfly on stilts at a festival

We're celebrating the wonderful work of insects and minibeasts at Newcastle Libraries this half term.

Join us at City Library for a Biodiversity Festival on Wednesday 31 May, 11am to 3pm. Dance with butterflies on stilts, plant flowers in the library garden, make your own minibeast craft and find out all about why insects are so important to our world.

We are also having minibeast craft sessions in our branches over half term. These sessions are free so just drop in to your nearest library.

We are looking for volunteers to help us maintain and develop the planters at City Library. If you could spare some time to help plant, weed and generally keep our garden looking appealing to humans and insects, please email information@newcastle.gov.uk
