We are celebrating the variety of languages spoken in Newcastle as part of International Mother Language Day on 21st February. 

We have a special story time in Hungarian at Gosforth Library on Tuesday 21 February at 11am. This is a drop in session where we will hear a story and learn a song in Hungarian, as well as take part in a simple craft. 

We are also giving away picture books in a wide range of languages. Please pop in to your local branch between Monday 21 February and Saturday 26 February to collect a story in your mother language. Supplies are limited and will be given out on a first come first served basis. We have the following languages available:
