What about the Role?

We are seeking to recruit an experienced and motivated manager to lead our Workforce Development and manage our Customer Services Team. You will work closely with our senior managers and regional partners to lead workforce planning and development in our Adult Social Care and Integrated Services Directorate. In addition you will manage our Complaints and Customer Relations Team - coordinating statutory adult and children’s social care complaints and enquiries, school admission appeals and Freedom of Information requests.

This is a wide-ranging role and we welcome applications from those with expertise in workforce development or customer relations who are looking to develop skills in a new area.

You will have the ability to work across networks and have the necessary skills and experience to manage budgets. You will be able to interpret policy and legislation. You will have strong leadership skills and the disposition to offer good support to members of staff in challenging and fast-moving environment. Sound and decisive decision-making, commensurate with the grade of the post, is also required. It is important to understand the needs of the people who contact our service to pass on their feedback.
