Due to the continued growth of our unique and successful school the Governors of Lemington Riverside Primary School wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant (Level 2, N3), on, initially, a fixed-term basis from 4th September 2023 until 19th July 2024.
This post is suitable for an experienced teaching assistant with extensive school experience, an appropriate level of qualification and evidence of success supporting children with a wide range of needs across the primary age range. We are looking for an ambitious and meticulous team member who will go the extra mile for the benefit of the school community. The successful candidate will initially be primarily based in the Middle Years department (Years 1 - 3) but flexibility will be required to work across the primary age range as and when required.
The appointed teaching assistant will be joining a strong and passionate staff team serving a diverse community.
The successful candidate will lead by example, setting high standards for themselves, the school and others. S/he will be experienced at supporting and managing pupils, often with complex needs and a variety of abilities. They must be able to think creatively and problem solve. They will have a positive outlook and will be excited at the prospect of continued to be a part of our rapidly changing school that is at the heart of our community.
The successful candidate will:
• work successfully across the primary age range supporting a wide variety of pupils
• be motivated, committed and proactive in the face of challenge
• be organised, highly efficient and prioritise workload to meet deadlines
• have successful experience of working with pupils with a wide range of additional needs.
• be able to adapt practices and procedures in order to ensure best outcomes for pupils
• fully support the vision and ethos of the school
The role is 31.25 hours per week. This will be working the hours of 8:45am - 3:30pm Monday-Friday. There is an opportunity for overtime working in the wrap-around care provision for the school.
