Salary - Teachers with QTS: £24,373 - £40,490 (Pro rata: £12,186 to £20,245 pa)

Teachers without QTS: £17,682 - £27,965 (Pro rata: £8,841 to £13,982).

We pride ourselves in offering our students a broad and balanced curriculum. Our Technology Team comprises of 7 teachers and 1 technician with our own suite of specialist classrooms and workshops, from kitchens and ICT labs to our motor vehicle garage. Our classrooms are well-equipped with a combination of traditional and modern equipment, tools and machinery. Design and Technology is enjoyed by students from KS3 to KS5 at Kenton school and is constantly being developed to ensure we deliver the most engaging curriculum possible.

We are seeking a talented and inspiring teacher/tutor to join our team teaching Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4 and construction at Key Stage 5. The post is open to both those with qualified teacher status and those with other relevant vocational qualifications.

If you are the person we are looking for, your excellent subject knowledge and practical skills will be underpinned by a passion for teaching and the ability to apply a range of teaching and learning strategies. You will possess the ability to work effectively with all students, engaging them through exciting, yet challenging, lessons and embedding a culture of positive behaviour for learning. And, most importantly, you will be committed to our school ethos of ‘all different, all equal,’ instilling high expectations in all our students.

You will possess a flexible approach taking an active part in school life, such as attending parent evenings and open evenings. You will also be proactive in responding to the changes to practical subjects that are required due to Covid-19.
