St Charles’ Catholic Primary School joined Bishop Bewick Catholic Education Trust on 1 April 2021.

The Governors wish to appoint a motivated and passionate teacher who will make a significant contribution to our school. Here, we are all working towards a common goal - a shared vision to provide forward thinking teaching and memorable experiences through the curriculum to prepare our children for life. Due to the flexibility of the current staff team, the position could be based within Early Years or within Key Stage 1 or 2. Candidates must state their preference on the application.

We endeavour to offer our staff unique opportunities through quality CPD to ensure we continue to develop our own interests, curiosity and creativity. We seek to appoint an excellent classroom teacher who is able to nurture our children towards reaching their full potential.

Applications are invited from experienced teachers and NQT’s. All are welcome to apply who will support and actively promote the Catholic ethos of our school.

The Governing Body is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We implement all aspects of the safer recruitment process. The successful applicant will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check and references.

The closing date for applications is 21 May at midday. Previous applicants need not apply. Shortlisting will take place after this date.

After shortlisting, any successful candidates will be informed of arrangements for when the interviews will take place.

Please note - The structure and format of interviews will depend upon guidance at the time regarding COVID-19 social distancing. If a face to face interview is not possible due to national lockdown measures, we may need to carry out the process through the medium of video conferencing. We hope to set some tasks for shortlisted candidates that can be emailed to school in advance of the interview date. We look forward to hearing from you.
