Prosper Learning Trust was established in January 2018 and consists of Newcastle Bridges School, Mary Astell Academy, Thomas Bewick School and Harry Watts School. We are striving to further build collaboration across the schools and grow as a Multi Academy Trust, whilst continuing to strengthen our relationships with schools outside the MAT for the benefit of our students.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, inspirational member of support staff to support young people in their education at our Ferndene school site.

Ferndene is based at the former Prudhoe Hospital site and provides a regional and national inpatient service for children and young people aged up to 18 years of age. Ferndene is comprised of four in-patient wards (Fraser, Redburn, PICU and Stephenson) providing a total of 30 beds. Students can come from main stream secondary schools, or specialist provisions, some may have a learning disability, and or challenging behaviours. Education forms part of their structured day as well as other therapies and interventions.

This is an exciting opportunity for an excellent practitioner to join our outstanding school and work in a challenging yet rewarding multidisciplinary environment.

Prosper Learning Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and anyone applying to work within the Trust is expected to share this commitment. This position is subject to a satisfactory fully enhanced DBS check and references being received. As the post involves working with vulnerable children and dealing with sensitive information, written references will be taken up and made available to interviewers before the final selection stage, even if you indicate otherwise.
