St Cuthbert’s Catholic High School is seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor. We would encourage potential candidates who hope to become teachers in the near future to apply. This post will offer you the opportunity to work both in the classroom with whole classes as a Cover Supervisor and small groups for identified intervention. The breadth of this role will allow you to practise a range of skills to manage students learning in a school setting.

The role of a cover supervisor is crucial in the support of teaching and learning at St Cuthbert’s. In this role you will work under the guidance of teaching staff to supervise classes when teachers are absent. Appropriate work will be provided and you will ensure that pupils focus on the tasks set. The successful candidate will be flexible, willing to learn, and be able to form positive relationships in school.
