Stocksfield Avenue Primary School is a popular and oversubscribed two-form entry school in the west end of Newcastle. The school benefits from excellent facilities such as music provision and extensive school grounds. The school was rated as ‘good’ in the latest Ofsted inspection, 2019. This is an exciting and varied role in a very successful and happy school in the heart of a vibrant and diverse community.

SMART Multi Academy Trust comprises 8 primary schools in the Newcastle upon Tyne area. The Board of Trustees of SMART Multi Academy Trust are seeking to appoint two TAs/Learning Support Assistants for Stocksfield Avenue Primary School to work alongside the class teachers. The role also includes providing support/care to children during the midday break.

The successful applicant will have:

• Good skills in literacy and numeracy

• An ability to use ICT systems

• A caring and nurturing character

• A passion for inspiring young people and helping them reach their potential

• The ability to supervise children both inside and outside during the lunch break
