St Cuthbert’s Catholic High School is seeking to appoint an outstanding languages teacher as Subject Lead for Spanish. The appointed candidate will become part of a developing department which aims to impart a love of languages to the pupils in our care. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop within an established and supportive team of colleagues.

The ideal candidate will display a passion for languages, delivering engaging lessons and inspiring our boys. We work to ensure that our pupils have a love of languages and the foundation necessary to take their skills beyond the classroom. They will keep abreast of new developments in the pedagogy of the subject and share good practice amongst the department. The role will involve responsibility for raising standards within the department, working closely with the Head of Modern Foreign Languages. The successful candidate will be a role model for the rest of the department and incredibly self-motivated, bringing language alive linking it to everyday life where our boys can see the relevance of the subject, and they can understand why they are studying it. Above all, we are looking for someone who will help our boys become better men as well as helping them to be fully equipped with the skills for their life after St Cuthbert’s.

This is an opportunity to join a well-established and aspirational department in an impressive, all-boys Catholic School that has enjoyed a reputation as a centre of educational excellence for over one hundred years.
