We are looking for an enthusiastic and capable solicitor or barrister to work in our busy Children’s Social Care Legal Section based in Newcastle upon Tyne city centre.

The primary focus of this post is to run a complex and varied caseload of care and placement proceedings but also to provide effective legal advice in respect of fostering, adoption and other general children’s social care matters. You will be expected to undertake a level of advocacy commensurate with your experience.

A working knowledge of care proceedings is necessary. Experience of working in a local authority would be advantageous; however, lawyers from private practice will also be considered as you would be working as part of an experienced and supportive team.
