£32,878 - £36,876 per annum, pro rata

37 hours per week

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, highly motivated progressed Social Worker who is interested in joining our well-established and highly regarded Safeguarding Adults team. The post is based within our Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) which provides a co-ordinated approach to managing safeguarding concerns for adults at risk within Newcastle.

The duties of the post include:

Multi-agency work and close partnership work with Service Users, Carers and other Professionals

Managing Safeguarding referrals to timescales and in accordance with Newcastle City Council Safeguarding procedures.

Knowledge and experience in working in an adult social care context.

Successful candidates will have:

Excellent communication and risk management skills and a sound understanding of the relevant statutory frameworks, and evidence-based practice.

Ability to work as an individual and within a busy multi-disciplinary team.

Ability to be flexible, self-motivated and resilient

Ability to deal with a high volume of referrals daily basis

You will need to have a commitment to Safeguarding Adults at Risk and to Making Safeguarding Personal.

You must have a relevant Social Work qualification such as Degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent and are current HCPC registration and preferably be a trained BIA.Professional support, supervision and appraisal will be provided by one of the Safeguarding Adults Managers.
