We are seeking to appoint 2 Social Work Education Development Officers on a permanent basis to join our existing team, with responsibility for leading and supporting the development of social work education and practice.

Primarily supporting either adult or children’s services, you will work as part of a Workforce Development Team, based at the Civic Centre, supporting Children’s and Adult Social Care Services.

Successful applicants will be will highly motivated and committed team players who are passionate about achieving the best outcomes for adults and older people in Newcastle.

You should hold a recognised Social Work qualification such as the CQSW, DipSW, Degree in Social Work or equivalent; and hold a Stage 2 practice education qualification. You will have demonstratable experience in leading and supporting the professional development of social workers and/or social work students, and knowledge and understanding of the key drivers and priorities for social work education.

Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills are essential; and the ability to engage effectively at all levels throughout the organisation, and with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
