Have you ever thought about becoming a Shared Lives carer?

Could you support an adult to develop their skills, advance their independence and support their friendships?

If you have your own accommodation you may consider offering day support. If you have a spare bedroom you might wish to offer short breaks or a long term placement?

Interested? Shared Lives is recruiting people to provide support to adults with learning disabilities in Newcastle.

If you have interests, a family and social life that you would be happy to share with another person you would be an ideal Shared Lives carer.

Disability awareness is an advantage but enthusiasm, motivation, commitment, life experience and a positive approach are all equally important.

You could receive up to £424 per week and given full training and ongoing support.
