Newcastle City Council is seeking to appoint a Clinical Advisor(s) to work across our department in order to support actions that address healthcare inequalities, providing specialist input to promote early intervention and secondary prevention.

We are looking for a dynamic candidate who is looking for a challenge and focused on using their clinical experience and public health knowledge to make a meaningful improvement to the health and wellbeing of Newcastle residents. The role will involve working with public health specialists and key partners to design effective programmes, provide clinical leadership and build capacity through service improvement and evaluative practice.

Clinical Advisors are expected to have relevant clinical experience, be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of public health and be passionate about addressing health inequalities in Newcastle.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment. Various sessions / contracted hours are available by negotiation subject to business need. The role will be challenging and varied, and you will need to be flexible, able to work autonomously, and prioritise workload to meet conflicting deadline. You will need excellent oral and written communication skills.
