We are seeking an enthusiastic, self motivated senior practitioner to work within our busy food safety, planning, safety and events team.
The work consists of working on the planning and management of events and involves also dealing with noise nuisance, planning and licensing issues as a responsible body. You will be based in the food, safety, planning and events team managing your own caseload and building relationships with external partners, members and the public. You will be experienced in managing projects, preparing legal documents and notices and will represent the service at meetings, inquiries and in court proceedings.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required with proven ability to deliver services in a timely way. Ideally the candidate will have significant experience of dealing with events and planning. You should be competent in using IT systems to record and implement actions and manage your own caseload.
The minimum educational requirement for this post is a Degree in Environmental Health/Diploma in Environmental Health and have recognised competence by the CIEH (or equivalent), and able to demonstrate continuing professional development .
A willingness to work out-of-hours work and be part of our out of hours standby service is expected.
