Soulbury 16-19: £55,854 - £59,625 per annum (plus 3 SPA)

We are seeking a Senior Adviser (school effectiveness) to join the School Effectiveness team at Newcastle City Council.

You will be leading a team of advisers supporting and challenging schools to ensure that all young people in Newcastle get the best possible education.

You will be an experienced, successful senior leader with a strong education background the credibility to work effectively with senior colleagues within the Council, with school leaders and with a range of external organisations. You will have a strong understanding of school improvement, school systems and the inspection framework.

You will be passionate about achieving strong outcomes for all children and young people, from early years to post 16. You will be a strong communicator, able to manage teams and networks, lead complex projects and able to deliver effective training.

In return, you will be a valuable part of a supportive and successful team, working in close collaboration with over a hundred schools. Most importantly, you will have an opportunity to make a positive difference across a vibrant, international city.

Shortlisting will take place on Monday 24 May 2021.

Interviews will take place on either 27 or 28 May 2, lasting no more than ninety minutes.
