£26,446 - £29,174 per annum

Fixed term for 12 months (Maternity Cover)

We are committed to providing quality care and achieving positive outcomes for the young people we look after. We are seeking to appoint a Residential Child Care Officer for one of our children’s homes on a temporary/fixed term basis for up to 12 months to cover maternity. The successful applicant will need to be resourceful, with the ability to establish relationships quickly whilst working as part of a team towards agreed aims and objectives.

You will be highly motivated, have good communication and IT skills and a clear understanding of needs of children and their families. You will have experience in working with vulnerable young people, who at times display challenging behaviours. Experience of residential care and a recognised social work qualification or NVQ level 3 is desirable. The successful applicant will be required to follow a rota, pro rota weekend work with shift patterns and sleep-ins as required.
