Registration Services Assistant

£18,065 - £18,426 per annum

1 x Fixed term for 12 months

37 hours per week

The Registration Service provides a high quality, customer focused service delivering a range of functions around major life events, including:

• Registration of births, deaths, marriages and civil partnerships

• Citizenship and the EU Settlement Scheme

We are recruiting a Registration Services Assistant to provide reception and admin support to this busy department. You will be expected to carry out a full range of reception duties including:

Dealing with visitors to the Register Office and handling their bookings and appointments through the use of IT systems

Dealing with internal and external council customers and other visitors to the Civic Centre

Signposting customers to council services and providing directions and access to locations within the Civic Centre

Assisting EU Nationals living and working in the UK to apply for pre-settled and settled status via the ID Verification app service.

In addition you will be required to carry out a range of clerical, financial and numeric administrative tasks to support the work carried out by the Register Office.

You will be IT literate and have experience in customer facing roles, handling difficult situations and in a range of administrative duties.

The working pattern is as follows:

Monday-Friday 08.30am-4.30pm
