The Newcastle PE and School Sport Service are looking to employ reliable, self-motivated and enthusiastic Sports Coaches on a casual basis to provide PE related support in both curriculum and extra-curriculum time in a primary school setting as well as supporting a range of programmes and events delivered by the Newcastle PE & School Sport Service. In particular, we are looking for Coaches that have the ability to plan and deliver skills based PE lessons to KS1 & KS2.

Casual Hourly Rate: £10.01 per hour

plus 14% Leave Allowance

Initially, the requirement is for a Sports Coach to be employed on a casual basis but there is future scope to provide more regular coaching opportunities for the right candidate.

As a minimum we require:

-Level 2 NGB coaching qualification in at least one sport

-At least a minimum of 3 months’ experience coaching young people or children in a sports activity or educational setting

-Ability to work both independently & as part of a Team

-Excellent organisational skills

-Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide feedback to children, teaches and parents

-Full UK Driving Licence & own transport
