Working Pattern: Monday - Friday 18.5 hours per week
Newcastle City Learning is seeking to recruit a motivated, inspirational and committed Pastoral Officer for its Programmes for Young People and LLDD provision.
Applicants must have the knowledge and experience of working with 16 -19-year-old learners, Learners with Learning difficulties/disabilities and be able to develop good working relationships with their learners to ensure they remain motivated and engaged within their programme of study.
An excellent working knowledge of current funding guidelines is an advantage. You must have passion, drive and determination to enable learners to progress and reach their full potential.
It is expected all staff will embed wider skills including English, maths, ICT and digital skills, British Values, Safeguarding and PREVENT, equality and diversity to ensure that learners maximise their understanding and application within their working and personal lives.
Use of own vehicle, current valid driving licence, or access to mobility transport and a willingness to travel are essential for this role. Please note teaching qualifications are also an essential requirement for this role.
