Fixed Term contract, for 1 year from September 2022, 22.00 hours per week over three days (Monday/Wednesday/Friday), term time only, plus 5 additional days as decided by the school

For September 2022, we seek a qualified nursery nurse (NVQ 3 Early Years Care and Education or NNEB, or equivalent) to join our lively and dedicated team.

• have enthusiasm, motivation and passion for supporting children to achieve their

• are willing to contribute and work effectively as part of a team;

• understand the key role both planning and assessment play in EYFS - tailoring

learning to meet the needs of children in the setting;

• have a particular interest in outdoor learning;

• understand child development within the foundation stage;

• are willing to actively contribute to the wider life of the school.

Wingrove is a large primary school serving a vibrant and diverse population in Newcastle’s west end. We have two nursery classes, each with 26 pupils. One class attend five mornings each week, the other class five afternoons.

We are strongly committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful applicant will be required to undergo a range of recruitment checks and to obtain an Enhanced Certificate of Disclosure from the DBS.
